What is high school 101? 

​

• A four-day coaching experience where high schoolers will gain the tools, strategies, and attitudes that will empower them to have an amazing first year at high school​

​

• High School 101 is led by a real former teacher and current academic coach for high schoolers who is compassionate and knowledgeable about the unique and amazing qualities of high school students

We’ve developed this program specifically with the needs of new high schoolers in mind.

• The transition from middle school to high school is a big one -- teachers expect you to be more independent, keep your things organized, and know how to study for their class

​

• In high school, taking notes becomes more important -- but how do you learn how to do it?

​

• In the midst of all this, students are also learning who they are. What are my passions, and how can I balance my friends, family, and sports while also maintaining my GPA?

 

You know that at Empower we are big believers in empowerment, peace, and thoughtfulness, so we’ve thoughtfully curated a program that brings peace to what can be a stressful transition.

We don’t want our students to feel overwhelmed in their first year of high school.

 

 Instead, we’ve created a nurturing environment this summer to empower them in entering their high school doors for the first time -- with CONFIDENCE.

​This is for rising high schoolers who:

• Are feeling a bit nervous about high school

​

• Want a safe environment to ask questions ​

​

• Want to enter high school with a toolkit for success that they can refer to again and again

Who is this not for?​

This program isn’t ideal for students who:​

• Aren't interested in getting support​
